This is Mlle Adgie in one of her vaudeville settings. She was around for a goodly nubmer of years beginning around the mid-1890s. Hers was the very first big cage act on either Barnum& Bailey or Ringling.

do you know something more about the early cage acts on Barnum and Bailey? It is possible that some of the Hagenbeck cages was booked after Chicago exhibition?
