Ned

I don't know if this is the "picture of Ned chained to a dumpster" that Curly mentioned a couple of day's ago or not, but on close examination, it only looks like they are waiting to go in the back door, and there doesn't appear to be a chain in which to "chain the elephant to a dumpster!!!!!!

No. It was a picture of Ned chained to a dumpster. Not a picture of Ned waiting to go inside, NOT chained to a dumpster.

In fact, there was at the time a comment by the photographer about him being chained to the dumpster. But he removed his posts and comments after he found out there was a problem, and then reconstructed them differently.

More to the point: is this really where you want to be directing your efforts? At demonstrating that there isn't a photo of Ned, chained to a dumpster? And therefore, what? Everything is fine???

http://jkirlin.blogspot.com/2008/11/ned-formerly-of-circus-now-of-elephant.html:

"Now as many of you also know. No animal lover, I. We have a peaceful coexistence of benign neglect and I'm not going to even pretend I was at the circus for some undercover Elephant shoot. I wasn't. In fact, I was surprised to even see one there. I teased an animal loving friend WHO OWNS A DOG AND WEARS LEATHER by asking her if she wanted to see a photo of an elephant chained to a dumpster. She replied that she'd rather die. So I said..Well they can't chain it to a PILLOW! Or a BIKE!"

I found this in five minutes, which just goes to show how little you were interested in anything but a chance to show someone up.

Curly,
Nyuk, nyuk, nyuk!!! Whoop, whoop, whoop!!! Har, har, har!!!! Look at the grouse!!!! Three blind mice, three blind mice. See how they run, see how they run.... My direction is to keep it real. Fact's, not a witch hunt. Pick two, Pal.

It would be pretty neat if the dumpster was by the picket line and could be used as part of the tie off. In fact seems like there have been times I did just that.

Tanglefoot,
I don't think there is anything neat about chaining an elephant to a dumpster. That wasn't what a dumpster was designed for. As neat as tying a horse to a swinging gate, or putting a tiger in a chicken pen for the time being.
