Errani Elephants

The Errani sister's are knock dead stunning. It they could figure out how to let the 3 girls work/ride the elephants, and the head pieces were big enough to say "Errani Sister's" it would be sure fired winner. Did Elvis actually say "stop" when the elephant was doing the walk over? That's not even an American command. You will note the phony working with no hook or whip, yet the man behind the curtain had a hook just to hold them!!!! Note when something didn't react immediatly, he moved quickly moved towards it. Don't assume they were afraid he was going to "clout" them with his hand. Rest assured, any animal that is "presented" by "voice command alone" is rehearsed twice as hard as the animal that is consistently practiced and rehearsed with the necessary tools. Don't be taken in by that fluff. It does the animal's we love and respect to good.

Mr Errani said "stop" on a number of occasions during this presentation.

I'm told that the hook is not always necessary to present in the ring. The palm of the hand can sometimes re-inforce the voice commands.

Finally, if it's true what they say about girls who ride horses, what does that say about girls who ride elephants?

Steve,
Maybe like the job offering of "must do two or more," speaking English through half your act, maybe a way of putting on an "international star's from across the globe" circus festival on the cheap.

Mate,
I heard the back of your hand if you are a male presenter, and the palm if you are a female presenter. They say the same thing about girls who ride elephants, as girls who ride horses. Upside is apparently it is twice as intense. I am so smitten right now, I forgot Irina in 10 minutes.

Wade, I am missing something here, since I don't know what they say about girls who ride horses. If it's not something that you can put on the blog, can you direct me to a reference? By the way, the only time I ever rode a horse in my life was one of those pony ring deals when when I was a little girl, but I have kissed tigers.

Wade, I did find this web site, but it didn't tell what they say about girls who ride horses.

The guy behind the curtain wasn't the only one with a hook, if you look closley at 0.19 in the clip, you can see how Mr Errani hands his own hook over to a man, just before he enters the ring

Anonymous,
That is what I explained!!! I am an animal trainer, and a damn good one, as were GGW, Axel, Buckles, Rex, Smokey, Buckey, Joe, etc, etc. If they could not do it without a tool, you can damn sure bet neither can Elvis or Lars or any number of "new age gentle trainers!!!!" That type of "con" of working them in public without anything, is the same thing that was stated by the Great British Circus spokesperson, but they never elaborate on why something is needed outside of the ring. ANY TRAINED ANIMAL CAN BE WORKED FOR A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME WITHOUT A "TOOL" BY EVEN AN ORANGUTAN. IT TAKES NO SKILL WHAT SO EVER. As an Animal Trainer I am very offended and put off by the phonies who "insinuate" that the "tools" are bad, by saying they don't need them, yet they do, except for the 7 or 8 minutes they are hanging phony, self serving, counterfeit paper.
I personally am real disappointed in the asshole's who have chosen to shit on the profession instead of making it greater then it was, because they know nothing else, and the fans who have let themselves be had by the myth.

For the benefit of those who didn't realise, the 3 ladies are Elvis's 2 sisters and their mother.

in reading the above comment you made on April the 14 to anonymous, does this also apply to Colonel Joe?

John,
That is incredible!!!! I did not
realize one of them was actually their mother. Do you know how valuable that makes the daughters, when you can reference what they will look like as they get older, and it is gorgeous!!!

Bjorn,
I means any animal, not just elephants. The older they are, and the longer they have worked, the longer you can get away with it. But they "control" is always close at hand, and reinforced periodically. I have always seen Joe worked/presented with a hook and a whip, by the way.

Bjorn,
It is my sincere wish for everybody to understand the Art of Animal Training, inside and out, so that it is very obvious who is really great and who is fluff/self promoted. I like to think it should be as easy as watching the World Cup, and seeing who is a great player and who is just in the game. Like many things the more you understand about it, the easier it is to make the distinction.
