A Blog designed for discussion of topics related to, but not limited to, Circus, Zoos, Animal Training, and Animal Welfare/Husbandry. Sometimes opening up the dialog is the best starting point of all. And if for nothing else when people who agree and don't agree, get together and start discussing it, it will open up a lot of peoples minds. Debate and discussion even amongst themselves opens a window where there wasn't one before.

Trunk paralysis????? Must have been that Oklahoman weed!! LOL
How many times do I have to tell you that the gentleman's name was John GINDL?
My research has revealed that the Mills elephants were in Oklahoma to check the height of the cor. (And I don't care if the musical came later!)
John - my reference to weed was based on the apparent party atmosphere depicted in pic #1 of the post and the lack of said corn in the pic.
I now believe that your research has unearthed the facts - given the alleged height of the corn the elephants have had to consume it. With no other reason to remain Stateside they returned to Surrey [albeit sans fringe].
Now everything is up to date!
Cheers.
