A Blog designed for discussion of topics related to, but not limited to, Circus, Zoos, Animal Training, and Animal Welfare/Husbandry. Sometimes opening up the dialog is the best starting point of all. And if for nothing else when people who agree and don't agree, get together and start discussing it, it will open up a lot of peoples minds. Debate and discussion even amongst themselves opens a window where there wasn't one before.
Does anyone know anymore about this lady? What show she was with? Is she still presenting a cage act?

She was on Cirque Maximum from the Masson family for some years and was on Arlette Gruss in 2001. The tigers you see here are now at Cirque Medrano with Rita Labahn. Patrick Tessier is presents also tigers.
Thomas
Thomas,
They have to be old tigers. They are 4-5 years old in this picture.
Wade
The act premiered in 2001 I think, this picture will be from 2003 or 2004. So the tigers are 10 to 11 years old.
Thomas
Are none of you guys going to comment on her costume? Wade, Casey, anyone?
Mary Ann
Thomas,
So she is actually the "mother of Patrick Tessler," and not Virginia Tessler. LOL
Wade
Mary Ann,
What is wrong with her costume?
Wade
Wade, I didn't say that there is anything wrong wth her costume. I just meant that in the past, you guys have never held back on commenting on skimpy costumes. However, now that you have asked, I think that there is nothing wrong with the costume, it's just that the derriere hanging out of it is too large. I believe that Casey established a standard for derrieres a few weeks ago.
Mary Ann
Mary Ann,
Mary Ann,
I suggest men might be a better judge of skimpy, and less biased then the "fairer sex", on what constitutes a derriere or a DERRIERE!!! I personally have never liked "skimpy" costumes on the ground. They are much more appropriate in the air.
Wade
Wade,
This is sure Virginie Tessier.
Wade, do you mean as on trapeze artists as opposed to animal acts?
Mary Ann
Mary Ann,
On any ground act, animal or otherwise. Unless they are assisting an act, like a juggler, magician, etc. Just my personal preference. Do you know how many "self serving alibis" have been quoted by bare legs, bikinis, or corsets by saying "I let the animals be the feature/focus, instead of myself."
Wade
Thomas,
It is politically correct to refer to here as "the mother of Patrick Tessler," if she is indeed his mother.
Wade
I hadn't looked close enough before. Nothing wrong with it as far as I can see. Looks to be just the correct amount exposed. Going on the McCoy standard of judging,,,it ranks a 7.5 of possible 10.
I think she is actually the daughter of Patrick. Patrick presented exotics (namely camels) on Cirque Arlette Gruss in 1990. Virgine appeared on Gruss in the season of 2001 with her father's tigers.

Thank you again. That would make her the daughter of Patrick, unless her skill's were greater then his. If he was her mother, he would then be the mother of Virginia. By the way welcome to the blog. Glad to have you. Email me at wburck3@aol.com I would like to meet you further.
Wade
Wade, Mary Ann,the Skipper and Gilligan,
yes..I would love to say sometihng witty but I am out of witty for the moment .
I think her costume is ok.
I think it is funny what you think Wade, but I kind of see your point..however I think anyone who is a fan or a student of the tush can form an intelligent opinion,no matter what their sex is.
Rebecca
Rebecca,
What is funny about the way I think? Maybe you don't understand or are misinterpreting?
