A Blog designed for discussion of topics related to, but not limited to, Circus, Zoos, Animal Training, and Animal Welfare/Husbandry. Sometimes opening up the dialog is the best starting point of all. And if for nothing else when people who agree and don't agree, get together and start discussing it, it will open up a lot of peoples minds. Debate and discussion even amongst themselves opens a window where there wasn't one before.

Claire Heliot, Circus Krone, 1930s.
Raffaele,
Thank you. I have seen pictures of Claire when she had gotten "long in the teeth" and did not recognize her. You see a lot of pictures of her like this with either a lion or a tiger around her neck. Was she married, or was every one afraid of a "hiding", if they crossed her the wrong way. LOL
Wade
I belive she was the wife of John Helliot who came to america and trained in late byears for Clyde Beatty.
