A Blog designed for discussion of topics related to, but not limited to, Circus, Zoos, Animal Training, and Animal Welfare/Husbandry. Sometimes opening up the dialog is the best starting point of all. And if for nothing else when people who agree and don't agree, get together and start discussing it, it will open up a lot of peoples minds. Debate and discussion even amongst themselves opens a window where there wasn't one before.

Wade, I have heard it said that leopards have traditionally been considered a ladies' act, although they are at least as dangerous as lions and tigers. Is this true? Also, do you have any pictures or video of GGW doing his leopard cover?

Mary Ann,
I don't think a leopard act has traditionally been a female act, unless they were small acts. Historically the big leopard acts have been presented by men. In the small tent venue they are more effective then in the larger coliseums. Any and all felines are dangerous, but given the leopards small size the chance of death sever injury/loss of limb are small.
