Spanish Riding School--430 years of Tradition

The winter school above, with the painting of Emperor Charles VI. the founder of the Spanish Riding School at the end viewing area and below. Riders have been required to salute the Emperor as they pass upon entering the indoor school for over 430 years.


Col. Podjaski above performing Capriole in 1953 and below is Hannah Zeitlhofer one of the first women to ride at the Spanish Riding School.

They train such nice long legs at the riding school. all their riders ride that way.

Dianne,
I agree 100% about the riding style of the SRS. It is a thing of beauty and balance, compared to the "active" driving aid, that came into vogue a number of years ago, that flop like they have no bones from the knee's down.
