Does anybody know anything about this place. It is the first I have heard of it. The photo above is Enix Togni, of the circus Togni's who was Director of the park in front of some ancient columns, that were the object of protestation and delayed the parks opening. The zoo safari was in the archaeological zone of Fuimicino the harbor of ancient Rome, 30 km from Rome. It had much opposition from naturalists. How long did it stay open, and was it an offshoot of the Chipperfield drive through safari parks?

It closed in the eraly 80s, and was very successful for awhile. It was the first drive-thru in Italy.
The largest drive-thru in Italy (and probably in Europe) is today in Fasano, Southern Italy, owned by Ugo De Rocchi, from a branch of Casartelli family. It is called Zoosafari Fasano.
