I'm not certain, but I think this is the Portuguese act Duo Cardinali.

John,
That's got to be a lot of weight to bench press, but Tibor did it with one hand standing up. Might just be easier to let the girl kiss it.

Montemagno and Orfei are two circus families. The Montemagno circus owners are often combining their show with some members of the more famous Orfei family for the winter seasons.

The animal appears to be a S. African Fur Seal. I saw a great act with two fur seals at ZooMarine in Algarve, Portugal. They did some regular sea lion behaviours but at the end climbed through the audience (by design). These animals are seen in several European zoos.

Jim,
What do you mean by "climbed through the audience?" Did they use that method as an exit from the ring. or did they perform behaviors in the audience? I had to catch a chimpanzee one time that had climbed through the audience, but it wasn't a big deal he did it all the time.

The finale was that both animals were halfway up into the seating of a good-sized arena. On command they went down to the stage, not down the aisle but climbing and pushing throught the audience. All the pinniped people watched in shock. They stationed in front of the stage and stayed there for photos. An amazing bit of training and desensitizing. It was presented as the finale of a day at ZooMarine for the Marine Animal Trainers group from around the world -- it was memorable.

Jim,
Animal trainers must be an easier sell, because I saw a horse climb up in the seats one time pushing and shoving through the audience. The didn't seen to be that impressed, in fact some of them were hot. Maybe because it seemed spontaneous, and not something that had been worked on. LOL
