Just seeking clarification in the quest for understanding

Before Big Al, gets upset and insinuates that I am challenging anybody, I am just posting these two elephant photos borrowed from the "history channel" to see if we can find an answer here. The posted a comment to the above photo which was posted yesterday as well as did Casey:

Buckles,
A dollar says that elephant startles and kicks to get up, that little horse ends up on the roof of the tar paper shack behind, and ole Zeitzy is left holding a halter and lead rope.

I am guessing Mr. Zeitz has already encountered that problem and is now preventing it from happening again by laying what ever that is across the front legs keeping them crossed.

Today the photo below was posted(which again didn't seem like a challenge):

Regarding yesterday's Sells-Floto pix
I was surprised at the comments on the back leg lift, a common trick in the days before Elephant Empresses.
This is the same elephant 7 or 8 years later.

I made two comments. One of which was deemed "fetching" and one which didn't make it as it must have been "unseemly":

Buckles,
I still suggest if the elephant startles, he will fly also. Maybe not as far as the lighter weight horse, but he will get air. Oh wait, this might be one of those deals where, "that's weird. He has never done that before."
LOL

This one which was posted immediately after, apparently got lost in cyperspace:

Buckles,

In looking at the two pictures closely, are you sure they are the same elephant. Note the stomach/crotch area of the animals. I also think I note a pick ax handle being used to support/hold the elevated hind leg of this elephant. I am not sure, what do you think?

Wade,
All this time, I thought you were referring to the actual tv channel! I need to get with-it! Haha :)

Chris,
Are you kidding me? That's why it is hyphenated and not capitalized. All I watch, if I do at all, is RFD-TV and the History Channel.

Don't feel bad about it Chris - it took me a while too.

Just another example of the way that the Yanks have mangled the language! LOL

Mate,
I don't think we "mangled" it. I suggest we took something that they tried to jamb down our throats, and adjusted it enough that they knew we were Yanks and not Aussies.
