A Blog designed for discussion of topics related to, but not limited to, Circus, Zoos, Animal Training, and Animal Welfare/Husbandry. Sometimes opening up the dialog is the best starting point of all. And if for nothing else when people who agree and don't agree, get together and start discussing it, it will open up a lot of peoples minds. Debate and discussion even amongst themselves opens a window where there wasn't one before.

Tigers, Trevor Bale??
Rob,
I don't think so. This guy looks tall and slender, and has no "Snidely Whiplash" mustache. I don't know if it is Emil Pallenberg or Walter Klauser and the pretty blonde is Herta. I have no idea on the cage act.

The Bear act is definetly not Emil Pallenberg. I would recognize him.
Emil used full muzzles and these are ring muzzles. The ruffs and hats as well as the muzzles are Klauser style so that is probably who it is. The props are also consistant but not conclusive.
Mark Horton
Walter Klauser father of Herta C. He was a supper person...
Dave and Rex,
I was tipped by the red Indian motorcycle, sans the saddlebags as I loaded it a time or two, and it resides to this day at the Hawthorn facility. The blond beauty sure looked like Herta. Any idea's on who the cat trainer is? Plus if Rex says it's not Emil that's good enough for me. Welcome Rex, and don't be a stranger, Dave.

An email from Herta Cuneo confirms that this is her and her father, and she believes the cage act was Nauman who later went back to Germany, and did the diving tiger act, of which was on this blog in the past courtesy of Raffaele.
