A Blog designed for discussion of topics related to, but not limited to, Circus, Zoos, Animal Training, and Animal Welfare/Husbandry. Sometimes opening up the dialog is the best starting point of all. And if for nothing else when people who agree and don't agree, get together and start discussing it, it will open up a lot of peoples minds. Debate and discussion even amongst themselves opens a window where there wasn't one before.

For anyone who has not seen the video of their living carousel, it is fantastic and a must see. Wade posted it on November 11, and I am moved to tears every time I watch it. It is one of the videos that I showed to my daughter and granddaughter, and for them it was reminiscent of a magnificent corps de ballet. I did not know that the darling little boy was the grandson of the Knies; I thought he was their son.

For the sake of clarity, Ivan is Gerladine'sson,so Fredy's grandson.
John,
Thank you mate. Are you ready to hit the festival trail?
Wade
Mary Ann,
I am sorry I didn't see your question, but I guess John cleared it up for you. I think this is a beautiful picture of Geraldine with the profile of a baroque horse.

I saw the the Knie family at Monte Carlo in 2006 with their caroussel an amzing view!! One of the best horse acts I ever saw! Ivan is the son of Geraldina and Ivan Pellegrini. Grandon of Freddy Knie and Marie José Knie. Freddy Knie is the son of Freddy Knie Sen. and Franco Knie the elephant trainer is the son of Rolf Knie. Franco Knie Jr. son of Franco Knie is now presenting the elephants at Knie.
