This is Rene Strickler`s "Arisha" .

I forgot to add that Arisha was born at Rene Strickler`s park in switzerland to "Eika" a female heterozygous tiger that Rene Strickler bought from the Plättli zoo.Eika is a direct descendant of Jerry Wegmann`s (owner of Siky Ranch) white tiger Madras.
There was quiet a fight between Strickler and Wegmann, since Jerry Wegmann wasn`t the only owner of white tigers in switzerland anymore and Rene Strickler never mentioned to the press and TV that Eika was a descendant of Jerry Wegmann`s Madras.
Strickler claimed that he did not know that Eika was a descendant od Madras.

I think what Wade is trying to reach here is the conclusion that the public when reading these advertisements will assume an association with Sirgrid and Boy. This is due to their huge popularity in Europe and the US. It is ironic really since S&R advertised the only performing white tigers in America for many years, and we all know that wasn't true either.

Wade - the general public, those who are not with it and for it, would probably see Las Vegas and assume it was Siegfried and Roy because they are the most publicized. The same as people who came to the Lipizzan Show assumed it was the Spanish Riding School and we were all from Vienna and anyone who sees a Clydesdale thinks of Budweiser. People who don't frequent circuses think that Siegfried and Roy are the only ones with white tigers. Just as people are always surprised when the go to a Clydesdale show and find that not all Clydes are solid bay with 4 whites and a white face. It's all in the advertising.

This tiger is a decendent of Madras, who I sold to Jery Wegmann while I was in Europe in 1991.

Mary Ann,
How many "different bloodlines" in Europe do you suppose, just went out the window? LOL

Jeannie,
That is why it normally said "Produced by Gary Lashinsky" some place on the advertising. There was not an "intent" to deceive but at one point there were enough objections raised, that an effort was made to make the public aware it was not the Spanish Riding School. If it say Budweiser Clydesdale's and hitch, if it is theres, it doesn't matter what color they are. If you advertised your horse or breeding stallion as a son of Stud Spider just because he was an Appaloosa, it might get them in your door, but would they come back? What would you do to your business?

Wade - Actually, the advertising and program for the Lipizzan Show usually included "Not affiliated with the Spanish Riding School". I have an advertising poster which I believe was from the year the show opened in Madison, Wisconsin that says "See the famed white stallions of Austria". This is probably the reason for the later disclaimers. By the way, the tickets were $3, $4 and $5.

As for the Budweiser Clydesdales, they only make the team if they are geldings, 18 hands, 2,000-2,300 pounds, and bay with white feather and white face.

Wade - As for breeding, I would have to see papers on a horse before breeding and I would love to have bred my App mare to Spider, but he was too far away. In the Clydesdale world, if you're Clydesdale's name begins with Belleau, he was bred by Anheuser Busch. Many of the Clydesdale breeders have registered names that identify where the horse was bred, but not parentage. In Appaloosas, there is a list of names that cannot be used unless they are of that certain breeding.

Jennie,
I wonder why my industry, and the people jerking it around for personal/financial gain didn't learn something from The Lipizzan Show? Probably they were too busy pointing at the wrong people, and defending their "soft target" selves, or preparing for a best 0 the best circus completion.

Hello Wade: My question is where did Siegfried & Roy get their original White Tigers? I had heard that Jeanette Williams originally imported their first white tigers, but from where? In fact, I heard this from Jeanette herself!
