Disaster diverted during class winner's picture

I would be remiss if I didn't mention that the fillies show sheet was made by her Grand Dame, Isabell.
A situation can change in an instant, and you have to be ready to act. Things were going well in the pictures above, until the photographer wanted a different angle, below.

As you can see by the picture above, in the young fillies eagerness to get to the breeding shed, and to establish dominance over the young colt, the "teasing" process started earlier then anticipated. The colt instantly dropped and he had to be "shanked" quite severely, and then isolated below. Poor guy hasn't learned yet that he'll spend the rest of his life getting into trouble for things he has no control over, or control of, and he won't understand why. He just needs to accept a filly is now pushing the buttons. Such is a stallions fate. LOL
I love these kids so much, and very few fathers/fathers in law have had the pleasure and honor of saying, "I have known them both their whole lives."

Wade - You are so creative. Great pictures and captions of a beautiful couple. I especially enjoyed the Get of Sire and Produce of Dam pictures and that cake was truly unique. My best wishes to the bride and groom.

Congratulations!!!

The bride is beautiful!

I can't believe that is the same little boy that was on Circus Vargas. I am really starting to feel old.

Thanks for the Great set of Photos.
For all us stuck up here in the snow of Wisconsin it is great to see the shots of this wonderfull wedding. As always, our best to Elaine and Adam and wish we could have made it. This is the time of year for the candy business and just like the circus, the show must go on. Hope to two of you have dry lots and clear skies, see you down the road and I hope the fathers are recovering. It must have been a real stress on the both of them even though it was not their wedding.
Love from Baraboo

Ralph,
It was truly unbelievably wonderful. Years ago, when the kids were very young Jimmy and I used to joke about someday being to old to work and making an act with Syrian bears and white tigers and sending the kids out. Who would have thought the climate of the day would make that an impossibility? But they at least have each other, and a few more years of performing.
My best to you and Joan,
Wade
