A Blog designed for discussion of topics related to, but not limited to, Circus, Zoos, Animal Training, and Animal Welfare/Husbandry. Sometimes opening up the dialog is the best starting point of all. And if for nothing else when people who agree and don't agree, get together and start discussing it, it will open up a lot of peoples minds. Debate and discussion even amongst themselves opens a window where there wasn't one before.

Bet you don't know that all of the beginning footage of Roy Rogers doing the trick riding and jumping the car was none other than Rex Rossi. The rest was Roy himself. At the Gene Autry Museum opening Gala I was with Rex when Roy personally thanked him for all the years he doubled for him. A time long past. Glad I got to see some of it.
Dianne,
I wondered if you were going to mention that it was Rex. No way could Roy have done that, with all due respect. I didn't recognize it as Rex jumping over the car though.

Dianne, I warched it, and then I just had to show it to Joe also. Joe isn't old enough to remember Roy Rogers, but we were both very impressed with the trick riding and the jump over the car. It was fantastic!

Dianne - I wondered if that was Rex, but I knew it wasn't Roy.
