Josip Marcan photographed this creature in the top three photos on his property today. He has seen it off and on for about 6 months, but it never stuck around long enough to be photographed. It sure looks too long legged to be a coyote. The two bottom photos are off of the University of Florida Wildlife Extension service site picturing Florida coyotes. The animals glass eyes in the top photo, are similar to an Australian Shepherds bi colored eyes. Might it be a hybrid, or something else. It is appropriate he makes an appearance as we are discussing hybrids. Mare sure you enlarge the photo's and take a good look!!!!!

Coyote hybrids are pretty common. I think it's a large coyote with a long term case of mange. Dart him with Ivormec, or rope him and dunk him twice a day for three days in diesel fuel. Then he might resemble the two poster dogs for FL coyotes.
