One of the finest example's of an elephant "T" mount I have ever seen. It was an incredible sight when Colonel stepped into the President's box to anchor it. For my money the greatest "Elephant Diva" of all time was Eva Williams. She could stand a top Colonel at a dead run. An hour around Rex, was more educational then a week around most others and I miss him a lot.

I couldn't agree more.
I was fortunate to become close friends with Rex. I was there when Sue put him down.
Rex was a great showman, elephant man and a good friend.
Rex could be rangy from time to time and he wasn't afraid to stand up to management , the USDA or anyone.
Al,
Surly you mean "Sue Darlin". I had the unpleasant task of burying Sue. I think she is the fourth elephant from the right in the "T" mount, but I could be wrong. I posted a picture of Sue Darlin yesterday.
Saying Rex could be rangy is like say Clint Eastwood gets a little upset in the Sergio Leone Man With No Name trilogies.

Awesome picture. Wish I had seen it in person.
Thanks for posting it Wade.
