This is the link that Chris posted. Dick Flint also sent a link. This is fabulous, and I had heard there was a overhead video of the "living carousel". For you horse people who haven't experienced much liberty, imagine holding 6 Arabians an 6 Fresians with no leads, only your presence, while the other horse's all run out and leave. Some people may suggest, "well he didn't do much" losing sight of the fact that there were 18 horses in the 42 ft. ring, or "so and so" did a waltz, losing sight of the fact that "so and so" had 8 horses in the same 42 foot ring. Very few people really know what they are looking at, hence the fallacy that a juggler or clown could judge this against an aerialist and give it a gold, silver or bronze. In this case, it was the "Best 0 the Best" from recent festivals and no awards were given. The first time in the history of Monte Carlo when they were valid. If they had awarded that year, this act would have probably gotten a silver.

Wade,
How very very sad we don't have anything like that here....
And yes, some may say it wasn't perfect but.........as you said imagine having that kind of control over all those horses..... so, in my next life can I be born a KNIE?
Thanks for posting.. It made my day!
Wow!!! I am speechless.
Dianne and Jody,
I am sure you two appreciate the importance of proper footing and the environment in which the animal is working. Imagine a ring set in an open coliseum, with thin rubber at best for footing. And the general mentality that has permeated the industry, the people don't care what they see, would negate what type of salary it would be deserving of. 3 horse trailers going 50 or 60 miles, as is the case of smaller Europe, is going to be cheaper then the same trailers going 500 or more miles in the big US of A.
Wade
Also the fact that as a performer in the U.S. I would have to buy, feed and train the horses until they were ready to go unlike Europe which is aparently family businesses. Then would an American circus have the footing or knowledge to care what they were paying for their bucks. I think not, it's a different world
Wade, this is fantastic. The living carousel is magnificent, and the big and little at the opening was adorable.

Dianne,
That's correct. That's called an "intangible" that fans don't consider, and often supposedly knowledgeable trainer's don't either, in an effort to "over inflate" when looking at something. It has nothing to do with "cute and charming," which has been more of a detriment to my profession, then any AR movement.
