I am posting this because it is sidesaddle, but I sure don't like and am not impressed, nor will I ever like or be impressed with the "bridle less" deal. It's like riding a bike, and saying, "look Ma no hands." You will wish you had handlebar's when that bike all of a sudden heads for the tree's or into the ditch.

Wade - I have to agree with you about the no bridle part. Things can go wrong very quickly. However, this horse goes very consistent and quiet with the neck rope. I think I would stay in the more confined area, though. I'll leave the critique of the rider's sidesaddle skills to Mary, but she looks pretty good to me.

Let me say this about that. Number one the horse is a fat chunky horse of no real quality even if he was wearing a bridle. I think bridleless is offensive in a controlled collected presentation as there is no way it could be viewed as beautiful. A rope neck is always used so bridleless is sort of a misnomer to me and an accomplishment that is easily put on most broke horses. The rider is handling the sidesaddle well but is severe in her seat as she has a death grip on the leg holds, I still think no matter the style of riding it should be light and lovely. I think I would have liked it a bit better if the horse were in the bridle instead of "head hung low." That being said a fast reining routine with no bridle and saddle was thoroughly entertaining.

No way is a reining horse naked a thing of beauty, when you can find hundreds tacked up that are superior. The saddle and bridle have an express purpose in the training of a horse, in case you didn't know. LOL
