As I mentioned earlier, there has become an objection by animal right groups in Germany in regards to Tsavo, Barums rhino go to Circus Krone, I thought it fair if we would took a look again at what they are objecting to.

More impressive is what Krone is doing for its animals during the summer season when the circus is traveling. Here is a link to the Krone zoo page http://www.circus-krone.de/de/on_tour/2008/stadtbilder-2008_paderborn.html . And this was only a 3 day stop. Very impressive, but if you have certain prejudices in your mind it will be hard to change them.

Marco,
In regards to "prejudices", we can not lose sight of the fact that if objections had not been raised, things would have not changed. Maybe that realization may help people understand why I am not against "all" animal groups/regulations. I, as an animal trainer am eternally grateful that things were made to change. When you live it and breath it with no generational ties, 24 hrs a day, you are a lot more aware then the casual observer. I am of the position that Tsavo would be kept in the best, most comfortable mentally and physically, environment for him on Krone, to live out what years he has left. Just don't start the process over with a baby rhino when he is gone. They like a number of animal species, do not to well in a moving contained environment. Specialize in the ones that do. We no longer need to bring "never before seen" species to the isolated public. Those day's are over.
