Strafferetsekspert doubtProfessor of Criminal Law at the University of Copenhagen, Vagn Greve, doubt, however, that Diana Benneweis be tried.
If there is someone who is terminally ill and has great pain, and as you give an overdose of pain killer, which brings forward the time of death - it's not a criminal offense, assesses Vagn Greve.
He stresses, however, that he based his assessment on what is now to have emerged in the press.
"Below is what looks to me like a great damage control operation."

I'm shocked to learn that.
I had the privilege to know Miss Diana and her lovely father, regularly visiting their circus.
I can well remember how much she loved his father.
They are beautiful persons and a wonderful family. I hope all the best to Diana.
Raffaele,
I too was stunned. And it is from an English news report. It first says "beaten to death", and then it appears a charge to assisted suicide.
Wade
from Jim Stockley........ this was back in 2006?
Seems she announced in her autobiography that she had killed her dad giving him an overdose of morphine during his last hours of painful and deadly disease. Her announcement gave life in Denmark to a fervent discussion about euthanasia. Don't know what became of any murder charge (or if there was one?)
The fact is that Diana was accused of assisted suicide, so was necessarily arrested. In due course the charge was dropped. Please note the date on this.
