Casey has just about completed a two tiger hind leg walk. I have a couple of dozen "what the hell am I doing wrong" videos downloaded, but as I have given my sacred word never to let them see the light of day, I won't post them. You will need to go to his blog site at Casey McCoy Cainin's CIRCUS DIARIES
to view what he has done up to this point. My congratulations to Casey. As GGW used to say,
"halten es, junge Menschen. Es wird passieren."

Wade, we really enjoyed Casey's act when we saw it on my birthday, and we look forward to seeing it many more times in the future.

Mary Ann,
Get there quick if you want to see it again. The goof may get himself killed, trying to complete this behavior. LOL

Even the hoop jump was a good trick at some point. Now that everyone does it....yawn! Does two hoop jumping tigers make it more exciting?
Anonymous,
Yes, two of anything is more exciting and better then one. Although, neither my now ex wife and my at the time girlfriend thought much of the suggestion. But I digress. How many hind leg walks have you trained, Gunther? When you do three, come back again and we'll consider your opinion.

I only have 1 thats rite....1 hoop jumper in the act. I planned on taking it out with the rest of the props, but the artistic director asked I leave it in. Since all four cats do hind leg walks now, I chose which cat was demoted to doing the hoop, by which needed the most work on it's hind leg walk. I yawn at it as well, but as the PD noted, the fire hoop gets a oooh before the cats even move for it. I yawn at it because it is a behavior that takes a week or less to train, and becomes "push button" almost immediately. Hopefully my act isn't as much a "yawner" for the rest of the world,,,as it apparently it is for you.
Casey,
Come on. Artistic Director????? Your on Kelly Miller for God's sake. Nothing wrong with admitting Natalie is still running the show. Sheesh.

My dad has always told me he prefers the animals that can step on you to the ones that look at you as Thanksgiving dinner, and always gives his props to those who do it. I have enjoyed the conversations on the blog. Kudos to all.
Congrats Casey,
now when are you guys bringing the act to the Northwest?
Amy
Ryan I started out working elephants rather then cats. It seemed logical seeing that cats eat meat, and oddly enough, we are made of meat. Then I heard a couple stories of elephants eating parts of humans they had "disassembled" and I figured six to one half dozen to the other.
Amy,
Not likely soon unless I bring it up to visit my family for Christmas.
Casey,
Just tell them you are bringing a couple friends with you, then ask your relatives at FSA if you can get some deals on meat.
