Felix Adler Tent Banquet, Glen Rock, New Jersey

I spent a wonderful afternoon with the members of the Felix Adler Tent yesterday. They had arranged a beautiful street parade, heralding my arrival. It touched me, and I truly felt like Julius Caesar, even without the olive laurel crown. I was completely surprised and luckily I had a good pair of Ostrich boots in the trunk of the car. Renewed friendships with some great, great people. Paul and Dianne Guthiel, Jack Belles, Maxine House, the inimitable Dave Orr, and many many other's. Meet a fine young man, Nick with aspirations of a career in the "big cage". Best of luck Nick, and let me know if there is anything I can do to be of service. Many friends have saddly passed on or are bed ridden. The legendary Lottie Brunn, Hasel Phillips, Mr. and Mrs. Robie, Bert Cronk. It was great to see a number of younger fans which will be the life blood of any organization. I am delighted to also see the number of younger fans from Europe on the internet. They will be the horse's carrying the thing we love, called the Circus into the future. God love them all for their dedication and devotion, Circus Fans of America, and Cirque, Zirkus, Cirk etc. Fans from around the World.

Allegedly there was a person in cowboy boots on Main Street in Glen Rock, NJ on Saturday, Oct.11th that had was ID as Wade G. Burck. It happen just after the Hometown Football Parade on Main Street that ended up at the local Saturday Football Field...Part of the crowd afterwards were spotted going into the Glen Rock Inn and didn't come out until around 4PM...It was reported that another male that resembled Mr.PAUL Gutheil was with Mr. Burck with a camera on one shoulder and a male lion on the other. There were no other happenings that could pin point the event other than the Glen Rock Inn staff mention they went through alot of tomato juice and the gathering room had alot of circus posters that the person mention was signing.......Maybe someone else could comment......Glen Rock is located just minutes from New York City.

Dave,
I moved your comment here. Speaking of "alleged", I've got something you can alleged!!!!! Are you trying to tell me that parade with all the nubile nymphets, pompoms and horn blowing was not for my arrival in Glen Rock!!! Here I'm thinking MacArthur's got nothing on me, and you want to agitate and tell the world it was a football deal. I wouldn't have worn the high dollar Mahan's if I had known that!!! Nuts!!!!
I was going to tell readers that they could contact you at dpowhitetiger@aol.com and make a generous donation to the OABA Circus Animal Fund and receive a beautiful camel/palm tree lapel pin, but now I am not.
Regards friend,
Wade

Addendum to Whistle Blower Orr,
I was even going to mention your Bull Room deal April 17 at 9:00 Am and April 18th at the Comfort Inn at 130 Patchway Rd. Duncansville, Pa, Phone number (814) 693-1800. You lost out big time on some paper hanging, Dave. Something to think about next time you want to make things up about a street parade. Don't think none of the fine Glen Rock Inn staff didn't recognize me. They were just too overwhelmed to react right away(some said they hadn't seen anything like that since Sinatra came to town in 1964). If you wanted to be truthful and not just trying to cause trouble you would admit, I awesomed all over Glen Rock, New Jersey.

Wade, I don't care if Sinatra ever
was in Glen Rock, and we love Sinatra, we and all the fans in attendance were thrilled that you could make it to little ol' Glen Rock, just 12 miles Northwest of the Geo. Washington Bridge.

You have joined a select group of notables to have made it to Glen Rock...among them Buckles & Barbara Woodcock.

And, as they say down South, "Ya'll come back ya heah>"

Paul & Diane

PS We would have had a parade for you but we couldn't get a permit for the elephant drawn chariot and the tigers.

Great banquet and all kidding aside we are always interested to hear what you have to say.

Lastly, God Bless you for all you are doing for our mutual dear friend Bert. You are a sterling example of what a real friend is.
