The beautiful and unique art of Rolf Knie

Rolf Knie is a member of the Knie Circus dynasty from Switzerland. I believe he is a brother to Franco and Louis Knie and the original Rolf Knie was the first Elephant trainer to use African Elephants in the European Circus ring, but I could stand corrected. He is touted as "Switzerland's most respected and successful living artist." While I fancy a more natural approach to wildlife art, the uniqueness of his work(I think) is the use of renderings of canvas, rope and grommets connecting it to the circus. I have the print above, which my brother sent me from Switzerland, when he went with the White Tigers in 1988 and it is special.
