Amateur Park Class

Use this link if you would like to see the Reserve Amateur Park winner, take a dirt dive as she was doing her victory TaDa. A big complaint at the years Nationals is that the smaller building in Tulsa allows people to come to close to the rail, causing a number of spills. Up side is that the small building is making the applause "infectious" and everybody follows the lead, as one report states. More so then in the larger venue of the past in Louisville. Might explain why, in a smaller tent/chapiteau we might mistake how much they really like what they have seen. They are just following along

Jody,
Fact is reining really sucked this year. I've haven't seen such bouncing stiff legged slids in about 15 years. Spins were lousy(almost makes me want to turn to quarter horses. Almost) Nice small slows, and fast larges was all they did well. The pattern stressed circles. I think they knew something in advance. Really disappointing. Some real nice paints, buckskins, and appaloosa in the 1/2 Arab western pleasure. English pleasure was spectacular, although hot. A breath away from going through the bit, into a park horse. LOL. Boggs cleaned up in halter. Handlers in one class all scratched when he came in. Everybody still hates him of course. If he was smart he wouldn't win all the time, and just "participate." Heavy is the head that wears the crown. Lady Truffles a yearling filly by that Amir Jammal horse I put under saddle went Top Ten out of a class of 22 so that was all good. Working cow horse is on right now, so don't bother me.

LOL.......
Thanks for the update.
I did check the reining class riders. Saw a few I recognized from the NRHA world. They should have had some decent runs.
Not surprised about them disliking Boggs but they always dislike whoever is winning. Gotta love the breed....
I just went to the live cams and only saw people working horses in two and no picture in the third. Also the screen is really small. Is your size screen small too?

Wade - The Appaloosa World Show starts tomorrow in Fort Worth. You can watch the classes at www.appaloosa.com. Click on the World Show at the bottom and then go down the left side to Web Cam. There are 2 arenas.

Jeannie,
Thank you. When did they quit holding it it Oklahoma City. I saw it there twice. They had some beautiful 1/2 Arab/Appaloosas in Tulsa this year. It is becoming a popular cross in the hunter hack division.

Wade - I think it's been at least 10 years in Fort Worth. It's a very nice facility.
