Abe Goldstein--One of the original Keystone Cops

That is my dear friend, Abie Goldstein on the far right. A true, true classic. When ever I played in the Los Angeles area in the early 80's, I could be assured a visit from Abie. He would hang around for 3 or 4 day's, and he would eat with us, and sleep on my couch in the evening. I was "seeing" someone at the time who was very upset at Abie and my arrangement as he was physically in pretty tough shape by this time. Rummy eyes, running nose etc. She gave me the choice one day of her or Abie. I never saw her again but I enjoyed Abie's visits for 2 more years. The stories he told of the old studio day's were priceless. Abie had truly "been there, done that."
