Note this youngster has a bit of that "Champagne" tint to his coat, and also lacks pink nose/skin and has dark eyes. I will wager even after a good bath and shampoo not much of that "color" will wash out.

Wade, now that we have opened the can of worms of "white" bears, what do you or anyone else know of the Kermode bear or Spirit Bear of British Columbia? I suspect that it is probably more like a champagne lion in coloration than a white tiger, but I really don't know.
Mary Ann
Mary Ann,
You will note the bears in the post above are referred to as "super blonds" which is a name we bandied back and forth about for the lions. You will also note that some change from blond to brunette as they mature, a phenomenon we have never seen in any other animal, right?
Wade
Right, Wade, including humans. LOL When we bandied names for the lions back and forth, finally settling on champagne, I believe it was you who nixed "blond", saying it sounded "ditzy". LOL
Mary Ann
Mary Ann,
I can't believe I said "ditzy." Are you sure I didn't say it sounded to "GGW wanna be?"
Wade
There is a white bear in the Winnipeg Zoo. It is a white individual of the North American black bear.
