A Blog designed for discussion of topics related to, but not limited to, Circus, Zoos, Animal Training, and Animal Welfare/Husbandry. Sometimes opening up the dialog is the best starting point of all. And if for nothing else when people who agree and don't agree, get together and start discussing it, it will open up a lot of peoples minds. Debate and discussion even amongst themselves opens a window where there wasn't one before.

....This may be a silly question, but what do these gentlemen do with the snake? They don't put it on a shelf above their beds do they?..LOL..
Margaret,
Not sure in this instance, but some people sleep with snakes. On Ripleys awhile back they showed a young snake charmer who slept with numerous snakes. Last year and article came out about Sambath Uon who is 7. A female python 16ft long came into his bedroom when he was a kid. The father took it back to the forest 3 times, but it kept coming back. Sambath and the snake are inseperable and sleep together.
So to your question,
Maybe so! You never know.
Wade, are you doing this just to give me a giggle? I don't think she gets my sense of humor..It was an inside joke Amy,but thanks for the info....
Amy,
I wouldn't count on Ripleys for much "animal fact."
I had a big Python on the shelf over the bed, when Margaret and I were married, and it fell off one night, and landed on her chest. Because it was such a "huge" snake, and quite heavy, Margaret jumped out of a sound sleep and thought I was just wanting a bit of a snog.

Margaret,
Must have been a nice surprise in the morning! lol
Darlin, now you Are making me giggle..I believe YOUR own words when I tried this version were,"I don't remember it that way at all.!!.Don't take any of this seriously Amy,we are just having a bit-o-fun. And Wade, you never told me if you caught any trout, I know you didn't get any rashes..LOL..
So were you two really married then?
I am a little lost. I do know what trout is.... not the fish trout either....
Amy,
With all due respect, you are what's known in the circus world, as a "First of May", meaning you have just joined the circus. We have had a number of discussions in the past on the blog regarding Margaret's and my relationship, and also many discussions about the lions, and no they are not albinos. You need to go to the first page of the blog and work your way forward to today, to catch up with many things we have discussed. Again, on the right side of the blog is a thing called the "manure pile" Scroll down to the first day of the blog and work forward.
