Above is Adam Burck who is Margaret's and my oldest son, and he has a tiger act. Below is Margaret's nephew Vincent Von Duke who has a mixed act. Now this line is pretty easy to follow Amy. When Adam gets married in December it won't be as easy to follow, as his future wife Elaine Hall has a lot of generations of circus in her pedigree. If you want to make yourself gag and get a migrane headache, try to trace a European circus family/pedigree. It has more twists and turns and line breeding and outcrosses, than a laboratory rat maze. Wade,
So Circus lines in Europe are somewhat like the old Royal Blood lines?
I had a feeling you and Margaret had a past, but couldn't tell if I was reading it funny or not. I really like Adam's costume in this act. Flashy, yet the blue is masculine and really pops against the tiger's fur.
What he is doing has always been a dream of mine. To get that close to a wild animal like a tiger is fantastic.
What animals are in Vincent's act? Just the Lions and Tigers?

Amy.
With acts moving from show to show, members of different families meet and end up marrying. Thus next door to everybody who has been in the business for some time is related to everybody else.

John,
In a closed or captive environment that will lead to a breeding depression which is not advantageous to healthy genetics.

Wade - there is evidence that this has already happened in this insular island nation!!!!!!!!
Wade,
I saw the George Carden Circus in SA last night. The show is outstanding. So good to see such quality acts and production effects in a three ring format in this day and age (twelve lovely ladies in the arial ballet!). The animal acts really set the pace. Adam does a terrific job with the tigers as does Larry with the bulls. Incredible hind leg stand working backward with a white tiger none the less. Imagine that! You must be very proud. In the elephant act Bo is a stitch. He really looks around and focuses beyond the ring curb and I like to see that kind of awareness in a mount. Larry handled all five of them for the entire act virtually alone except for the prop crew moving the tubs. Just wonderful work. Kudos to George Carden for keeping the faith.
Miss Kitty,
Yes, I am very proud of Adam. He has come a long way, and has an ever longer way to go. To give you the idea of the skill he has developed in just 3 short years, I also trained a backward hind leg white tiger for another Trainer with over 25 years of experience, and 3 years later she still could not do it. Adam was walking Mona backward in only 3 days and has held her together nicely.
Regards,
Wade
