Able Oaks Ranch

Able Oaks Ranch

The 50 acre ranch is in Rusk Texas in the beautiful piney woods area of East Texas. We are conveniently located midway between Dallas, Austin, Shreveport, and Houston.

Milking a goatAble Oaks Ranch started in 2003 as an alpaca ranch and has since expanded its operation into miniature llamas and dairy goats. We practice sustainable agriculture and deliberately limit the size of our herds (alpacas, llamas, and goats) to maintain quality, animal health and the pleasure of interacting with the animals on a daily basis.

We purposely selected goats, alpacas, llamas because we could harvest products (fiber and milk) without the requirement of slaughtering the animals.

For more information on our alpacas and llamas, please visit

Welcome Able Oaks Ranch. My first pets as a child, were a dairy nanny who blessed me with two wonderful kids. I remember them fondly but one thing led to another, and I wanted tigers and elephants. LOL Nice site you have, and I an thinking as people become more health conscious they may be discovering the benefits of goat products. I am curious, what is a miniature llama? I was not aware there was such a thing. Wade Burck

Have hunted high and low and can't find your email address. How do I submit photos and ask you questions not for publication? Dion

Dion,
My email is wburck3@aol.com People often ask what the 3 stands for. It is in reference to my 3 wonderful sons, who are my reason for existing.
I will look forward to your pictures, and any questions you may have. If they are not for publication, I reserve the right not to answer them. Not much gets fixed that way, and not much is learned.
Regards,
Wade
