Vintage London Zoo--1920

One of the timber Wolves at the London Zoo is so tame that he is allowed out on a leash so that child visitors can make a fuss of him.

This one is in disguise hiding from the hounds and the horsemen. LOL

Darryl,
Nobody wants to pick a fight with a "timber wolf" They might have a go at a coyote, but sure all hell not a Timber wolf. Leave that piece of business for Genghis Khan and his Golden Eagles. LOL

Wade - you've got to be making up these species identifications to try to discredit our forbears from the UK.

No fair dinkum zoo person wouls make this many errors. Would they?

Steve,
Right off the back, word for word with an official zoo registrar stamp. History has always been a passion of mine, particularly animal keeping history. I have seen enough things like this to get "argumentative" at time. I hope the registrar's great grandchildren don't see the blog. They probably think Great Granddad is Aces, and I am a schmuck. LOL
