Two different thoughts to reaching the same objective--Physical Activity

Sea World, Queensland Australia--An array of toys are introduced into the exhibit to stimulate the bear's naturally inquisitive nature and to provide for physical exercise.
Detroit Zoological Institute--Acrylic panels in the ice wall between polar bears and seals allow stimulating interaction between the two. Stimuli that encourage animals to be aware and alert are important to the maintenance of an appropriate captive environment.
