Sacha sure adapted to a different environment in a big way. Lest we think some can only train in a living round pen.

Wade, I thought that this act was incredibly beautiful, with the white horses, black horses, and zebras. In addition to being a great performance, the use of these colors had much visual appeal.

Mary Ann,
It became all the rage a number of years about 20 years ago. And in the fine tradition of originality almost all went black and white. Europe with Arabians and Fresians, America with Arabians and black ponies. Indeed beautiful, but I personally as I have stated, have always liked the same color/breed. I prefer all tigers or all lions, more so then tiger and lion acts. I prefer all Polar Bear acts, to mixed bear acts, or all leopard acts. Black and spotted leopard great. White and gold tigers great. Buff lions and Champagne lions great. Black Arabians and Grey Arabians great. Black Fresians and Red Fresians like Fire Magic, beautiful I prefer all zebra acts to zebra horse acts. All camel acts to mixed exotic acts. All Bactrian or all Dromedary great. Just my preference.

Mary Ann,
The Palomino doing the incredible hind leg walk at the end of the act, Sacha brought with him. It died instantly, in a tragic animal accident, when it was kicked in the chest, and it's heart exploded. Mr. Houcke was justifiable devastated.

Wade, that was indeed a devastating tragedy.

The Palomino, Velasquez, was trained by Fredy Knie, and was featured in a popular horse training video with the Knies. Before Sacha had him, he was in Hans Ludwig Suppmaier's act on the Blue unit in 2000. Do you know if the other animals in his act were the same as those in Sacha's act?
