A Blog designed for discussion of topics related to, but not limited to, Circus, Zoos, Animal Training, and Animal Welfare/Husbandry. Sometimes opening up the dialog is the best starting point of all. And if for nothing else when people who agree and don't agree, get together and start discussing it, it will open up a lot of peoples minds. Debate and discussion even amongst themselves opens a window where there wasn't one before.

ALL circus animals are not treated this badly, though the animal rights
movement would have you think that.
It's not unlike ALL parents being accused of child abuse because of the
horrendous stories that make the news.
PETA and others make a fortune promoting animal cruelty, so it's in their best
interests to perpetuate the myth.
Having said that, there is a tremendous amount of abuse as far as elephants are
concerned - I've seen it many, many times, and wild animals in general lead
pretty dismal lives housed as they are in the circus, regardless of their
treatment otherwise.
I think the public is about fed up with it and the only way to ressurect the
circus' image is to eliminate wild animals all together. There are many
animals that adapt well to training and life on the road.
My two cents

Funny how people talk out the sides of their mouths
I really don't understand this, or who it is from. I assumed Ian when I posted it. Now rereading it, I am unsure.
