Wade, this person really is a nut job. Casey is a wonderful young man who cares very deeply about animals and does not deserve this. I also can't help but wonder why her cat sunk its claws into her leg. We raised three feral kittens who did not respect property much, but have never attacked either of us.

With respect, don't be going Pro on me. You will have a better perspective, and be better able to help valid animal causes, by just straddling the fence.
The cat was crawling up her leg, to lay in her lap. Something "feral" kittens may attempt from time to time, after somebody has fed them.
