Jamie Clubb, son of legendary wild animal trainer James Clubb, from England has written possibly one of the most historically accurate books on the subject of English Circus, and a pair of Elephants in particular. If Jamie had chosen to "follow in his fathers footsteps", he would have had tremendously big boots to fill, as did Mark Gebel. And I commend my son and wish him well on his journey. Such is the life of "which house you are born in." The research that went into the writing of this publication is staggering and should be a standard for all authors of Circus History, so much of which is word of mouth, undocumented and self serving at times. I will be posting further information on ordering the book, and recommend it to all, who want to understand this wonderful, at times wacky world called the Circus and it's difference and sameness from country to country.www.jamieclubb.blogspot.com

Thanks for the kind words, Wade. Indeed they would be very big boots to fill, which is why I pursued a different journey altogether. Hopefully those other photos I sent you got through okay. I will send some more in due course. Your link is now on my blog.
Best wishes, Jamie.
