If it wasn't for a pyramid we probably wouldn't have any pictures of wild animal acts of old

A Blog designed for discussion of topics related to, but not limited to, Circus, Zoos, Animal Training, and Animal Welfare/Husbandry. Sometimes opening up the dialog is the best starting point of all. And if for nothing else when people who agree and don't agree, get together and start discussing it, it will open up a lot of peoples minds. Debate and discussion even amongst themselves opens a window where there wasn't one before.

If it wasn't for 'act of old' pioneers, maybe we wouldn't have any acts of new now. Do you think?
Also, the wild animal act has been my favorite act in any show, followed by eqine liberty acts. However, with exception of hind leg walks, forewards or back, most cat acts are not that entertaining. Its still what I go to a circus to see most.
Dion,
No I don't "think". There was a lot of crap back then, it is revered today because of being a friend of somebody, or married to an aunt. There has always been such a stretch of talent in the wild animal profession ranging from just terrible to spectacular. The just terrible should have been eliminated. It it had been possibly the profession would have advance much sooner, and not been caught in the AR movement.
