Incredible that Director John Millen, was noted as an amazing promoter. You will note that Joe Mendi only lived for 3 years. I assuming possibly lung cancer or liver sclerosis. Again, I am grateful we became much more civilized and knowledgeable.

Wade, "Wonders Among Us" claims that "veterinarians treated Jo, and then a Henry Ford Hospital physician diagnosed and treated the chimp's trench mouth with an arsenic preparation designed for humans. However, Jo died the night of September 7. Both Millen and Schroeder gave identical interviews to different reporters stating they were with Jo "...holding his paw in my hand..." when he slipped away."
