Abu Zeyd was foaled in 1904. He was the main sire at Homer Davenports farm, and was imported from Crabbet. There are many ways to hid "faults" in a horse with photography. A common one is to slope the fence behind, or stand the animal on a hill giving the illusion of a flatter/level back with an upright slope. Another is to stand him in tall grass you so can not see the feet real well. Thinner halters make a plain head "prettier", and even with a head stall, there is no doubt Abu Zeyd is a Arabian. This son of Meosaoud a desert horse had everything near perfect and a wonderful pedigree. This is what I would consider "my" ideal Arabian for everybody that keeps asking me.
