A Blog designed for discussion of topics related to, but not limited to, Circus, Zoos, Animal Training, and Animal Welfare/Husbandry. Sometimes opening up the dialog is the best starting point of all. And if for nothing else when people who agree and don't agree, get together and start discussing it, it will open up a lot of peoples minds. Debate and discussion even amongst themselves opens a window where there wasn't one before.

Well, make up a name and put it up - I only wish I could see the gasps of horror THAT post wopuld generate. I never thought my post would go through - it was just a rant.
Wouldn't post my name - it would jeapardise the television project I'm working on. Hey, maybe you'd like to be interviewed - you seem to have the right perspective on things
Schmuck,
How's that? The mission of this blog from it's conception was to not censor anything, if it was relevant, and was not taking a "personal attack" at an individual. Institutions are okay. I will only post something from an anonymous if it is relevant, and I feel they will suffer a consequence because of their statement. I don't take that balanced philosophy lightly, and read and reread you post for 2 day's before I accepted it. While I do not agree with you, you apparently "have been around, or are still around." The statement of sending them "south of the border", is what convinced me. That was a sorry excuse for "retirement", that did occur very often in the past. I am sure it still would be a easy/cheap alternative, if the regulations did not now make it impossible. If your project dealt with something other then animal welfare/rights, yes I could be interviewed. But the Animal Issue is a very small part of the whole, and the modern collapse of the wonderful world of the circus. Shameful immigration screenings of the past, and American performers struggling to make what ends there are meet, salarys X cost of living etc. would be a direction to take. If it is just about the bad, bad cruel circus and what they do to their animals, I am not interested. If you want to make it factual, historic, and benefiting animal welfare, go after individuals not the institution.
Good luck on the project.
Regards,
Wade
