Famed Herdsman Curator Jim Zijcek, owner of the show business legend, two nosed Daisy Mae,
has been quoted as saying, "Yeah, but those zoo guy's don't know bull about cow's". I would like to rebut that with this picture.
In 1981, a gaur was born at the Bronx Zoo after gestation in a Holstein cow, one of the first successful interspecies embryo transfers involving a wild animal. The male calf grew up to enjoy a successful career as a herd bull, fathering offspring at the Buffalo Zoo.

At the time the birth was pretty cool and the Gaur cattle became an important part of "Wild Asia." Could be wrong, but I think Gerald Durrell used to display several "antique" cattle breeds from the British Isles in his park on the Isle of Jersey.
