Fire Magic-----2005 Breyer Fest Celebration Horse

The uniquely colored 17h registered Friesian stallion, Fire Magic, is a marvel to behold as the star performer of the show "The Magical World of Dancing Horses." Born "Ramon" in the Netherlands in 1997, son of the famous Friesian sire Jillis, Fire Magic's red color made him unique. On a trip to Holland, Dianne Olds Rossi--a recognized trainer of the equestrian art of haute ecole dressage--had heard about the rare red Friesian col, and insisted on seeing him. Rossi's first impression of him was that he was a friendly, good looking, and solid colt. She almost lost him in a close bidding war, but finally won and purchased Fire Magic. The two then headed back to the United States.

After a long three-week period in the quarantine center at the Los Angles Airport, Rossi waited anxiously, in fear that she would not remember him the same way as in Holland. Then from around the corner came the stunning red colt and he was more the she had remembered. From that moment on, Rossi never looked back.

Once settled in, Fire Magic quickly earned the nickname "Chewy" and for good reason: Rossi says he is "incorrigible" and always has to have the last say. His talent was quickly recognized when his serious training began at three-years old. He was mature for his age. After five years, he has gone beyond his training expectations; he is truly a magical wonder.

In 2005, Fire Magic will be honored as the Breyer Fest XVI Celebration Horse. BREYER ---- Maker of the World's Finest Model Horses Since 1950.

Chewy is truely a one of a kind, and I have been lucky enough to have been with him the whole time. It is a treat to have watched him grow and mature under the care and guidance of Dianne Olds Rossi.
