Hagenbeck-Wallace Clyde Beatty

Does anyone know if these are service men posing with the Great Clyde Beatty, or were these spec uniforms/costumes?

The Top two photos were taken by Bob Good in 1934.

The bottom photo was taken April 25, 1925 in Indianapolis, IN. by Chalmer Condon. The original photo is now in the Pfening Archives.

I read an article once where he commented about the guards. They were show hands dressed as military to prove how dangerous the act was. A man in the audience commented to Mr. Beatty that,"with all that rpotection, I'd let my grandmother go into the cage". After hearing that, he did away with the "guards".
