Hagenbecks Polar Bears

I wonder if this was the inspiration for "stretching" the dogs on the bear in the lithograph below? 

Does anyone know if these photo's were taken at one of the many Expositions Hagenbeck was a part of or at the tierpark?  The structure to the left, in the bottom photo looks like the elephant water slide.
