To King Juan Carlos--I Am Sorry, Your Highness That You Had To Apologize.
H.R.H. The Prince of Wales Beating the Jungle with Sir Jung Bahadoor in the Nepal Terai 1876 by William Simpson
Illustration from GRAPHIC, an illustrated weekly newspaper 1876
'Recently the King of Spain publicly apologized for legally shooting an elephant, with a legally obtained, regulated license. The "patch" that animal rights groups like peta and other's around the world used to justify their outrage was that the King of a country that is in the middle of an economic crisis with half of the population of that country unemployed, had no justification to go on an expensive hunting trip. BULLSHIT!!! They were outraged that he legally, with a properly obtained, regulated license, shot an elephant, plain and simple. The "bleeder's in Private Idaho" could care less about unemployment in Spain or hungry children. I guarantee had King Juan Carlos jetted off to Vale, Colo. for a lavish ski trip, or Pebble Beach for a week of golf, he would not have received the heat he did for legally, with a properly obtained, regulated license shooting an elephant. FYI King Juan Carlos also shot a buffalo, and other game which no one seemed "outraged" about???? The hundred's of folks, fans and other's who profess to support elephants in the circus, who expressed such outrage on facebook at the King of Spain shooting one, with no thought to the buffalo and other game legally taken, need to realize you have only driven another nail into the "elephant in the circus" coffin. You need to study and become proficient in "agenda's" before you do anymore damage to what you profess to love and support. Fact.
If anything King Juan Carlos need's to apologize for being candy ass for falling down a step and breaking his hip while on "safari." The Prince of Wales did his hunting from the back of a bull elephant, and returned to his throne unscathed. Such is the advancement of man, in a feel good, bleeding heart, don't ride the Killer whale's, nanny world.'
