Please find attached the photo of the hippo den that was on John
Robinson, Hagenbeck-Wallace, Cole Bros., and finally Kelly-Morris. After
the Cole show closed in 1951 the equipment ended up back in Peru, IN at
the winterquarters. It is now known as the Kelly Farm. This photo is
from the Bandwagon Nov-Dec 1981 page 3. Paul Kelly states on page 12
that he owned the hippo wagon. He put it on a semi and it went out on
brother in law and fathers show, Kelly-Morris, in 1952 and 1953. He
later sold the hippo and truck to Bobby Snowden. That's where my history
of this wagon ends. Perhaps RJR3 has a bit more to add.
