Bertha had chronic foot problems when I was there in 1982. I stopped working her in the show, just working the Tina that Gary Jacobson broke. Bertha was put back into daily shows after I left.

You wonder how it is possible for Bertha to have extensive foot problems, what with living in a hot, dry climate with exercise yard, swimming pool and "extensive pedicures every 6 weeks." I have been lead to believe that is was only trains and cold weather that caused foot problems.
