A Blog designed for discussion of topics related to, but not limited to, Circus, Zoos, Animal Training, and Animal Welfare/Husbandry. Sometimes opening up the dialog is the best starting point of all. And if for nothing else when people who agree and don't agree, get together and start discussing it, it will open up a lot of peoples minds. Debate and discussion even amongst themselves opens a window where there wasn't one before.

KING OF AQUARIA says: "Former employees of Sea Arama Marineworld of Galveston, Texas are planning a reunion June 30th at Moody Gardens Aquarium on Galveston Island. Back in the 70's they had a trained bear act there. If you would like to attend the Reunion, I will give you all the scoop in the next blog. And thanks for the videos of Marineland and Game Farm. Did you ever work at Circus World near Orlando? I remember they had performing polar bears back in the 80's."

Here is a story that appeared April 1 in the Galveston Daily News written by The King of Aquaria:http://galvestondailynews.com/story/303534
King,
Circus World was a Ringling/Feld deal. It closed before I went on the show. Ursula Bottcher from East Germany had the Polar bears. Numerous pictures/video's have been posted on the blog in reference to here.
Won't make the Sea Arama Reunion, as I am currently in Mexico working.

KING OF AQUARIA says: "I just read in THE NATIONAL ENQUIRER that America has over 10,000 pet tigers - even ex-boxer Mike Tyson owns one!
Happy Easter to everyone on this glorious Day of Resurrection!"
King,
What was the date on the National Enquirer(I can't believe I am even referencing that as "source") story that you mention? I believe Tyson lost his tiger.

KING OF AQUARIA says: "My bad . . . it was the April 2 edition of the National Examiner. I hope you don't think less of me - even literary types like myself enjoy an occasional roll in the gutter."
