A Blog designed for discussion of topics related to, but not limited to, Circus, Zoos, Animal Training, and Animal Welfare/Husbandry. Sometimes opening up the dialog is the best starting point of all. And if for nothing else when people who agree and don't agree, get together and start discussing it, it will open up a lot of peoples minds. Debate and discussion even amongst themselves opens a window where there wasn't one before.

Wade,
here is an update about the Colonel. I reported earlyer that the Colonel had an allergic reaction to some kind of injection well I whas wrong, in a newspapper intview on 04/28 the Krone Press agent says that the Colonel is recieving Orthopedic trheatment at Sonnys Farm, and because he is the lead animal of the Krone herd the other 7 elephants are also staying on the farm.
Bjorn,
Thank you for the update. I am assuming it is his left, I believe, front leg causing issues. I wonder if James is there with the elephants. I wouldn't make sense otherwise to send all the elephants to Sonny's place, lead elephant or not.
Wade
Wade,
You are correct, As jou may or may not know James is Krones elephant stablemaster so yes he is also at Sonny's place
Bjorn,
Yes, I know James well. I assumed he was there, because to send all the elephants because Joe is the "lead" elephant sounded like public relations bs to me.
